Worry...

So most of you don't know this, but on October 7 I was pulled over for reckless driving. They said it was reckless because I was driving "at a high rate of speed." I honestly do not think that I was driving that fast because for one I driving an SUV and for two, the road I was on was a small two lane road full of nothing but curves. Anyways, I called the court to find out how much my ticket would be but they said it's a mandatory court appearance which means I have to go to court on Friday (that's my court date, and I had already planned on going anyways) and the judge will decide how much I have to pay. I am thinking it's going to be bad cuz it's my word against the cop and judges usually always side with cops. The only thing I have going for me though is the cop didn't use radar or anything, he just wrote on the ticket that I was going a high rate of speed and also he wrote that my car is a 2006, but it's a 2001. I'm not sure if I should point that out to the judge or not though. I am just worried about what's going to happen. I hope I don't have to pay a lot of money and I also hope that the only thing that comes of this is I have to pay money, I am hoping they don't take my license or anything like that.

Wow, that's really crappy! I can't believe he didn't use radar and put down how fast you were going. I didn't even know they could get you for speeding without any proof of your speed, that just doesn't make sense. Normally with speeding tickets, if you plead guilty, they'll cut everything in half (the points and the money), but if the guy doesn't even have any proof of how fast you were supposedly going, I guess that's different. Good luck!
